Loss, Gain



Spouse mourns his bicep, notes his wasted arm and vanished strength: "look- it's turned into a unicep."
One loses muscle but gains a striking new vocabulary.

Slow repeated movements with increasing sized dumbbells will increase the size once again. I continue to pump iron, but it stretches out the wrinkles temporarily these days. Best to both of you. Pappy

it is very nice to have you back in the writing world. Like the chocolate finger prints on the visor of your car, the ingredients for your contentment are all still there. It won't be long until the sadness is remote and joy is again what you touch every day.

Texican, I think Spouse will be trying those when he can. Right now he can't grip anything with his hand other than a thin piece of paper for a few seconds. I'm sure it will get better with time.

Beth, that's an incredibly kind and inspiring thing to say.
I worry about the happiness still being present- and about some sort of bitter element entering the stories. It would not be nice. I hope you are right!
